East Central is one of the small neighbourhoods in the highly desirable Maple Ridge municipality. Maple Ridge perfectly located for those who want to commute to other Metro Vancouver cities for work, but settle in a quaint residential area with plenty of lush, green areas. Located on the north shore of the Fraser River, approximately 45 kilometres east of the Vancouver core, East Central offers excellent schools, healthcare options and safety, all of which are quite important to parents of children at all ages.

East Central is the scene of multiple new developments in recent years, coming out of obscurity to embrace the advancing times. Virtually all nearby neighborhoods and downtown Maple Ridge is accessible from the East Central area, from Dewdney Trunk Road. Although most residents depend on their personal vehicles to get around, there are public transportation options, including the TransLink buses that operate throughout the city. Schools
